Tomb Raider Legend
is the seventh game in the Tomb Raider series, published by Eidos. This is the first game in the series not to be handled by British based Core Design. Instead it is being developed by US studio Crystal Dynamics. It was released in Europe on April 7, 2006 with the North American release a few days later on April 11. Only the PS2, PC, Xbox & Xbox 360 versions were available from launch, with the PSP version being released 2 months later on the 9th June 2006. Gamecube, Gameboy Advance and Nintendo DS versions along with a mobile version are scheduled to release in fall of 2006.

Tomb Raider Legend
stormed into the top spot when released holding at Number 1 for over 3 weeks!
Tomb Raider Legend has sold a record 2.6 million copies since its release, the highest selling Tomb Raider game ever!

Tomb Raider Legend finds Lara in search of a South American relic but changes course dramatically when she meets a dangerous figure from her past, finding herself in a race to recover one of history's most famous artefacts.

Tomb Raider Legend delves deep into Lara’s past through flashbacks from key points in her life that made her who she is today. We see Lara at the age of eight experiencing one of the most crucial and dearest memories, which changed her life forever. We also witness another flashback where a caving expedition goes horribly wrong killing many of her friends, one being very close to her.

Tomb Raider Legend gets to the heart of all things Tomb Raider, explaining the back-story of what happened in the Himalayas, the question that has been on people’s minds for years.

Tomb Raider Legend
is essentially exactly the same game on every platform it is released on. However the main differences notable in the versions are the graphics capability. For example High end Pc’s are able to enable ‘Next Generation Content’, a mode that enables a much high quality Lara model and environment stepping up the visual power of the game. (See picture) The Xbox 360 version is the only console version, which has Next Generation content as standard. (See picture) The Xbox and PS2 versions are standard current generation graphics, with the xbox version running at a much faster frame rate. (See pictures) Finally the PSP version is one of the most visually impressive PSP games around. Beautiful graphics up and beyond what a PSP can run are right there on the screen as if it were a PS2 version you were playing. (See picture)
